The Birla Institute of Technology UAE Campus an ISO 9001-2000 certified Educational Institution at Royal College of Applied Science & Technology, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE has commenced academic programs from the academic year 2005 as the UAE center of the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India. BITIC team has won the prestigious  Fifth  Inter-collegiate Debating championship  Trophy organized by the American University of Sharjah,  held on 22nd November 2008, defeating 14 teams from the best Universities of the UAE.

Birla Institute of Technology (Ranchi) UAE campus at Royal College of Applied Science and Technology, Ras Al Khaimah facilitated by Sudhir Gopi Holding has  shifted and started functioning at the new academic campus  at Al Dhait area at Ras Al Khaimah  from 18th March 2009. RCAST has celebrated its formal inaugural ceremony along with its fourth annual day function and the first convocation ceremony on Wednesday the, 10th June 2009 at our new campus.  The inauguration of the new academic campus was done by H.H Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Chairman, RAK Free Trade Zone. The function was held at the college auditorium at Ras Al Khaimah.

The new BIT UAE campus is with 120,000 sqft. Constructed area in a land area of 300,000 sqft. It has spacious classrooms and lecture halls, flawlessly designed labs and computer suites with uninterrupted internet facility, well stocked library, a spacious indoor stadium, designated play areas to encourage extra-curricular activities, auditorium, and a neat canteen that offers tasty cuisine throughout the college hours.  In addition to this, well structured and disciplined separate hostel facilities for girls and boys, exclusive transportation facilities from all the emirates, student visa facilities etc., are some of the highlights of this institution. 

The Institution has been accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) & the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in India established by the UGC & AICTE respectively. BIT has graduated over 18,000 Degree holders in Engineering & Technology and over 2500 Post graduates. The active research programs of the Institute have produced a number of Doctorates (PhD's) in various areas. BIT was the very first Institute to establish a Department of Space Engineering & Rocketry in the year 1964. Indira Gandhi National Open University, India, better known as IGNOU, the largest Open University in the commonwealth, has accredited Royal College, to be their authorized training center in Dubai for their programs in Commerce, Science, Management, Education and Humanities.
